T.A.G. Retreats
T.A.G. Retreats
T.A.G. retreats are extended periods of time (2-5 days) where participants are given the opportunity to spend the mornings in silence and solitude as they explore various ancient and creative prayer practices.
Afternoons are spent enjoying play as prayer, experiencing holy rest (a.k.a. NAP or Non Active Period) and sharing meaningful experiences of their own choosing with the other participants.
Evenings typically bring a creative prayer practices such as writing a personal psalm, affirmation circles, evening hikes, camp fires or evening prayers/worship.
Each prayer practice is debriefed with a group, allowing participatns to voice their experiences and connect with one another as well.
Music is a vital part of these retreats. Spiritual coaching or spiritual direction is also an option.
Each retreat follows a particular theme passage of Scripture. There are several prepared themes from which to choose, or T.A.G. can work with you to create a retreat around your own theme and incorporating your choice of prayer practices.
T.A.G. Days
T.A.G. Days offer a taste of a T.A.G. retreat during a single day. These days of prayer are often held at state parks, botanical gardens or retreat centers with natural settings. Other options include art museums, sanctuaries or other places of beauty. Beauty and being away from noise and technology is important for these short ventures!
Local T.A.G. Retreats
Periodically, T.A.G. hosts retreats available locally in the western Pennsylvania, western New York and eastern Ohio areas for interested parties to come and experience. Most of these retreats are designed for adults to explore the prayer practices and spaces so that they can decide if T.A.G. is something that would be beneficial for their youth program or church. Occasionally, retreats for students are also available as long as at least one adult attends with every 8 students.
